Windsor isn’t just famous for the forthcoming wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan. Every year from May 9th – 13th the Royal Windsor Horse Show attracts equestrians from all over the country and abroad to compete at this prestigious royal show.

Must See
The Royal Windsor Horse Show has some of the most varied equestrian action you’ll find just inside the M25. From showing (a type of beauty pageant & Britain’s Got Talent for horses) and dressage (dancing with horses) to show-jumping (jumping scarily big fences) and driving (horses pulling carriages, not cars). Drawing some of the biggest names from across the equestrian world, you can see international talent competing in the Queen’s back garden.

With a boulevard filled with shops to rival many in Bond Street, the shopping experience you get at Royal Windsor Horse Show is hot to trot when it comes to gorgeous clothing, accessories and jewellery. Think designer style with a hint of country and equestrian You’ll find plenty to buy and discover brands you might not have ever seen or heard of before. You have to sample a glass of bubbly or artisan gin at the event (or maybe even a glass of Pimms if the sun is shining!) We normally head to the converted double-decker bar with our luxury PR clients and then go on to watch some of the fantastic equestrian action on offer. Even if our clients aren’t horsey, they totally love this show for the atmosphere and the ambience.
Must Experience
The Musical Ride Of The Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment is pretty incredible to watch. Dating back to 1882, where a mounted display team performed a series of manoeuvres to music, this show demonstrates the types of horsemanship used by the regiment in the days when fighting still happened on horseback. Well worth seeing!
Getting There
Allow plenty of time when travelling by car as roads leading to the various carparks tend to get busy at peak times. You can also travel from London Waterloo East by train.
What To Wear
Depending on the weather you’ll either need a sunhat and suncream or wellington boots and a brolly! Remember this is a chic crowd so make sure you coordinate them!
