Not sure which fashion trends to rock this summer? MirrorMe country PR have compiled a list of our favourite catwalk trends for this summer (and some you can even try in the saddle)

Retro

For those of us whose wardrobes still resemble the 1980’s, the great news is that it’s back on trend! Think Shirley & Pepsi and Dynasty (Google for inspo) and opt for power dressing and puffball skirts!

Purple Reigns

Our favourite regal shade is back in fashion. Purple is one shade that adds a perfect pitch to your look, in or out of the saddle, this summer. Flattering on most complexions, purple is the prince of passion for fashion!

Fringe Benefits

From accessories to clothing, fringing is one story you’ll want to tap into this season. Sashay with style with a trend that brings to life clothing, bags, jewellery and footwear. * Equestrians this does not include your horse’s fly fringe.

Pastel Perfection

OK, so we know your skin is looking well… winter white but with a hint of tinted moisturiser, you’ll be able to wear all these beautiful pastel shades with confidence. While they might not be exactly horse friendly, they will love your everyday wardrobe (as long as it’s not raining)

Primary Colours

For those of you that feel you should pass on pastels. The good news is that bold primary colours are also a big colour story. Our country PR experts can tell you how well these work with your riding wardrobe too, and there’s also plenty of scope for ‘matchy matchy’ with your horse’s own wardrobe (Hurray, we hear you cry!)

Denim Dreams

We all have that one pair of favourites when it comes to jeans, and now denim of all shades and styles is back on trend. Go head to toe in blue and team with primary or metallic accessories and shoes for a pop of fabulousness. Choose denim breeches to emulate this look in the saddle.

Short Stories

Shorts are in (were they ever out?) but they are back and shorter than ever. From tailored, lace and leather, wear this look day or night. A country PR tip for if your pins can’t take it is to choose ‘skorts’, a flattering version of hotpants, and wear with sheer tights or a decent application of fake tan.

Brogue In Vogue

Step into summer with style (and comfort) as classic brogues return with a twist. From fabric with tartan, crystal embellishment and colour contrasting. These are your best friend for a grown-up look that works with pretty summer dresses, tailored trousers, shorts or jeans. And don’t forget to team with sheer or lace socks – it’s the ultimate fashion combo.
