Spring is finally here, bringing with it the chance to get outside and get some fresh air in your lungs (and a skip in your step) as you venture out of the city and into the countryside. But we can’t entirely eschew style for function when it comes to country fashion… so, in this blog post is my perfect country fashion outfit for Spring!
The Hat
Whether it’s a country classic or a fashion special, I adore hats and right now I love the faux fur headband from our clients, Equetech. It makes you look/feel part Bond girl, part Russian royalty, and is ideal for those crisp, fresh spring days. I think this headband does the job perfectly and as temperatures rise during the daytime, you can easily stash it away in your pocket.
The Jacket
A good quality jacket is a worthy investment and if you make the right choice it will last for many seasons to come. When it comes to country fashion, you have to go for tweed, and we love the stunning Timothy Foxx Catherine Jacket. It has all the practical details (detachable storm flap, two deep front pockets along with a two way zip) and is styled in beautiful tweed, so you get to don ‘that country trend’ while maintaining a sharp silhouette and quirky styling.
The Top
Underneath, I would opt for skinny rib polo neck or three quarter sleeve top to keep things simple – remembering that light weight layering is a lot easier to peel off as you get warmer than a heavy chunky knit jumper!
The Bottoms
Dark denim for me always adds something to an outfit and my favourites from the high street are Topshop’s Moto range. I love these ‘boyfriend’ jeans for their dark denim shade and easy, relaxed fit. These work great with plimsolls for a preppy feel or rolled up worn over walking boots or wellies; ideal for those muddier walks.
The Boots
