Courtesy of our friends, London equestrians networking group City Saddles, we were invited down to Imber Court in Surrey, where they train police horses ready for duty in London and the surrounding areas. A fantastic insight on how much hard work and training goes into these animal’s training and the hard work the team put into making them bomb proof, which whilst we were there included rattles/flags/flying tennis balls/cheering crowds (Us) and lots of tarpaulin on the floor. Discussions about how most of us struggled to get our horses past a plastic bag caught in a bush were kept on low volume and we even got to meet a few of the young recruits after their schooling session and a yard tour. A great day out for us and many thanks to the team at City Saddles for the invitation.
