MDIRF '#MDIRFSafetyweek’ Social Media Campaign - MirrorMePR

The Mark Davies Injured Riders Fund is an equestrian charity which support those injured on or around horses and MirrorMePR were set the task of ramping up awareness of their valuable work as we approached the autumn months. Without a big budget, we had to be creative in our thinking and looked at social PR as a possible opportunity to offer a wide and immediate reach for the client and one which would target the equestrian community exclusively. We created a campaign focused on staying safe around horses with the hashtag of #MDIRFSafetyWeek and approached a leading equestrian Twitter hour to run the campaign exclusively. Approaching select brands, we created a series of safety themed prizes to enhance our message and attract engagement and visibility. We approached the charity’s associated key riders and ambassadors for their top safety tip on film, which also ran throughout campaign alongside cherry picked safety tips from the charity to further spread the message. The campaign was driven to perfection by our chosen media with content managed by MirrorMePR and resulted in over 897,950 reach and 100% engagement and participation, helping raise awareness for the charity and increasing traffic to their website & Twitter follower numbers. The campaign was such a success the media have booked in a repeat date for next year with repeat prize involvement from selected brands.
