Hickstead showground is a name familiar to many riders, thanks to their super equestrian show calendar but did you know you can also tie the knot there? Set in hundreds of acres of beautiful Sussex countryside, the sheer size of their estate means that anything really is possible, whether you want to arrive in a horse-drawn carriage or make an entrance by flying into their famous ring (complete with the iconic Derby bank_ by helicopter. The team have horses in their blood so helping to make your equestrian dreams come true on your special day is easy.

For those of you who need to keep horsey and non-horsey both happy, The Horse Barn at South Farm is a great location. Originally home to the eight shire horses that worked the farm, it sits adjacent to their stunning Tudor Barn. This newly converted space now offers horsey couples a contemporary venue seeped in equine history. We love how the 200-year-old cobbled stable floor has now been restored to its original condition and is now dramatically down-lit with a stunning designer dance floor of transparent non-slip glass. Now suspended above the cobbles it looks amazing, and while you dance the night away, you’ll also notice the original mangers for the eight shire horses which line the two sides and have also been restored, down-lit and topped with frosted glass. Beautiful.
