  • The Ultimate Guide To The Best Eco-Conscious Spas In The UK

The 25th February is ‘World Spa Day’ and how better to celebrate both your well-being and care for the planet with a selection of the best eco spas we have discovered here in the UK….

The MirrorMePR Luxury PR Team love a spa day, but they also love the planet. Here are our top 3 environmentally-conscious spa suggestions for total Zen.

One of the first recognised ‘eco-spas’ of its kind, the Titanic Spa ticks all those eco-boxes from renewable energy systems including solar panels through to using cooler water temperatures and suitable detergents within their laundry service. They even have their own natural water source, which provides fresh drinking water and fills their hydro and swimming pool. Locally sourced produce and ingredients fill their (vegetable dye printed on recycled paper) menus and a range of preservative-free and organic treatments, this beautiful Yorkshire based Spa is a must-have short Spa break our team.

Cornwall is a choice destination of ours and as big pet lovers, and we also relish taking our dogs along with us for a long weekend. The Scarlett is not only dog-friendly (fantastic), but it positions itself as a luxury eco-retreat for adults only. This Spa uses recycled water for flushing its toilets, has a chemical-free outdoor pool complete with reeds which help keep it clean. Even the indoor pool is treated without the need for harsh eco-destroying chemicals — a beautiful Spa in one of our favourite locations.

Coworth Park Hotel & Spa in Berkshire has its own underground energy system for heating, using its own biofuel from the willow it grows on the estate. The building also has an equally ingenious cooling system in place using smart underground pipes that chill recycled water before redistributing it throughout the property. The actual Spa also features a living roof, where plants used in treatments are grown.

Looking to hop on a train or take a short drive from London to relax and unwind, then our round-up of the Best Spas Near London could be an option for a long weekend of a day visit.
