Looking for a staycation by the sea or a day out on the best summer beaches in the UK this summer? Our Lifestyle PR Team share a few of their favourite UK seaside destinations in this guide.

Joss Bay, Broadstairs

This Kent beach is a surfers’ paradise, and during the summer months, people flock to its golden sand beachfront. There’s even a pub on the top of the cliff to enjoy a meal and the beautiful cinematic views when the great British weather allows. Book a surfing lesson, enjoy the beach cafe and hire your parasol, windbreaker and deckchairs. Parking is just a few minutes’ walk from the beach, making it ideal for a family day out and enjoying a picnic! 5 star Google reviews make this beach a must-visit destination this summer.

South Landing (Flamborough) Beach

This Yorkshire pebble and shingle beach might not be paradise for your feet but for little ones and the family dog, it’s a lovely beach you can all enjoy throughout the summer. This dog friendly beach is three miles northeast of Bridlington, within a Local Nature Reserve and a popular place for bird watching. Tall chalk cliffs provide welcome shelter from the sea breezes and low tide the children can explore plenty of rock pools filled with sea life.

West Wittering Beach

We couldn’t not include this beauty in our round up of the best summer beaches in the UK! Framed with cute and colourful beach huts (that you can also hire), this lovely sandy beach in Sussex is the perfect place to relax or take a surf lesson. With toilets, parking, showers, and a cafe, it’s a relatively quiet beach, and you can walk directly into Chichester Harbour along the coast and if you are fortunate, you might even spot a grey seal in the warm waters!

Margate Main Sands

Margate, once a vibrant seaside town, did fall onto hard times. However, its regeneration is rapidly making it a desirable destination once again, and it’s easy to see the appeal. A classic seaside town, Margate has a picture-perfect sandy beach, amusement arcades, restaurants, bars and the Turner Contemporary Gallery. This eclectic mix makes it the ideal beach for those who like to do more than sunbathe or swim. A perfect mix of culture and cockles from the various seafood stalls.

Woolacombe Beach

Enjoy three miles of a privately owned, beautiful sandy beach front on Devon’s north coast. Complete with lifeguards and beach hut rentals, this is one of the best summer beaches in the UK. The go-to destination for those who love walking, swimming, kayaking, surfing and kite surfing. If you just fancy relaxing on the beach, it’s a beautiful beachfront destination. The picturesque village of Woolacombe lies at the northern end of the Woolacombe beach with plenty of choice in seaside shops, cafes and restaurants.
