Here at MMPR, we love the arrival of the summer months because it means that, as an agency, we get to venture out on client shoots and attend some of the fantastic equestrian events from the calendar that we look forward to all year round…
So if you are looking for a family day out or some equestrian action, the following are our office’s pick of the top summer equestrian events that will get you out of the city and into the beautiful British countryside!
Qatar Goodwood Festival: 28th July – 1st August 2015
The Goodwood Festival attracts some of the best equine athletes in the world – who are also accompanied by the biggest names in equestrian sport! On top of this, there is great food and drink, music, socialising, and of course glamour (which is what this West Sussex event is really all about!). Plus, this year sees the total prize money for the week reach an astounding £4.5 million, so there’s sure to be drama and excitement aplenty!
Jaeger-LeCoultre Gold Cup: 15th – 19th July 2015
The Semi Finals of the Jaeger-LeCoultre Gold Cup for the British Open Polo Championship at Cowdray Park Polo Club in Sussex will be played on Wednesday 15th July, with the action-packed Final taking place on Sunday 19th July. With 60 retail units in the shopping village, a children’s funfair, bars and food stalls, there’s plenty to see, do and buy – which is why it’s one of our favourite polo events.
Edenbridge & Oxted Agricultural Show: 30th – 31st August 2015
We absolutely LOVE this show – if you are looking for a traditional show with lots to see and do, you need look no further than this show in Surrey. To make it even better, this year kids go free! Great equestrian content, including side-saddle classes and a massive array of displays, make this one of the best summer equestrian events each year.
Land Rover Burghley Horse Trials: 3rd Sept – 6th September 2015
Want the perfect blend of top eventing action and some serious shopping opportunities too? Burghley is an annual pilgrimage for hundreds of people because it really is one of the highlights in the eventing calendar (and the shopping and food on offer is spectacular!).
The Royal County Of Berkshire Show: 19th – 20th September
We are delighted to be working on this event again this year – and as we only work on products or events that we personally love, you know it’s a good one! From fantastic equestrian content through to stuntmen displays and excellent shopping, this show really has fun for all the family as well as some superb show-jumping classes.
