Riding High Festival Style - MirrorMePR

With Glastonbury kicking off has got us excited about the season ahead, and has reminded us of how much we love festivals – but slightly less the decision making on what to wear…

Torn between comfort, practicality and style, with the worry of looking more hobo than boho, and taking into consideration our less than reliable climate, choosing a festival wardrobe is one style challenge that leaves behind many casualties. Wearing sandals/pristine White Nikes/hardly any clothes will ensure that after 8 hours of trudging around a muddy and cold field you will be sheltering in the nearest dance tent listening to hard-core techno in an attempt to keep warm and prevent trench foot setting in.

At the last festival the MirrorMePR Team went, to we wore our riding waterproof jackets, with our obligatory shorts and over the knee socks and equestrian Hunter Field Boots, with a pair of tights in a bum bag for that essential extra layer later on in the evening (after all we are in the UK and not Ibiza)

This got us thinking how cute a pair of bespoke riding boots would look with a summer floral print skirt, cropped denim jacket and vest top (daisies in hair optional) and of course, plenty of gold. In fact, Gucci have just introduced an 18-carat gold horse bit bracelet, and Hermés a rose gold and diamond bracelet; but at £4,950 and £25,745 respectively, it might be a bit risky wearing it festival camping (even if one is doing glamping).

So if equestrian style ‘rocks’ your world, then here is our take on ‘festival fashion with a twist’, ensuring you look ‘hot to trot’ with the latest trend that is way ahead of the field…
