Florence, Dog Detective: The Case of the Purple Poodle

Written by our good friend and talented author and journalist, Carolyn Henderson, the book is a fantastic read for dog lovers of all ages with all profits going to help dogs in need, both here and abroad.

The book was inspired by a real-life rescue dog Florence and her owner, Karen Ledger.

Karen has been instrumental in raising thousands of pounds towards rehabilitating and re-homing dogs through her fund-raising and re-homing project, ‘All Because of Freda’. She began her amazing efforts after taking Freda, a smooth-haired pointer who was rescued from dire circumstances in Cyprus, into her own home.

We are huge dog lovers here at the agency and have an assortment of  ‘woof juniors’ in the office and so we are delighted to hear that so far the book has raised around £1,800.
The book has raised enough funds to rescue and rehome 16 dogs in need, plus numerous vet bills paid and food bought.

Everyone concerned worked for free so that every penny goes to dogs in need, via carefully vetted rescue organisations here and abroad.
