  • How To Celebrate National Day Of The Horse

Our Pet PR Team would like to remind you that It’s National Horse Day this month. So how do the Equine PR team plan to celebrate? Here are six ways to share your passion for horses (with or without your equine friend).

Watch Some Horsey Action At Olympia

Olympia is one of our favourite annual equestrian events. There’s lots of horsey action on offer at this fantastic London event. Watching the thrill of the Shetland Grand National through to being inspired by the International dressage and show-jumping, Olympia Horse Show is one of our favourite events!

Share An Adventure

Our Pet PR team recommend boxing up with a friend and discover a new hack. Riding out somewhere different with your best friend could be just the tonic that you both needed and choosing somewhere that has a decent off-road bridle path network to explore will be fun for both you and your horse.

Organise A Yard Equine Boot Sale In Aid Of A Horsey Charity

Having a clear out of your tack room before Christmas, not only leaves some space for your horses’ Christmas presents and those January sale bargains but could help support a horsey charity. Get friends together and find an equine boot sale near you and raise valuable funds for an equine charity in need.

Give Your Horse Some Extra Pampering

Spend some extra time giving your horse a serious pampering session. Give your horse a thoroughly good groom and a massage with a haynet in the stable. Not only will you both enjoy spending time together, but it will give you a super opportunity to bond with your horse and get his winter coat gleaming!

Organise A Yard Social

Getting together with horsey friends to chat …well, horses are a super way to share your passion with like-minded people. Whether you choose a pub lunch or an evening event, its fun for everyone and no one will moan about you ‘talking about horses again’.

Do Some Groundwork

Rather than spending time with your horse in the saddle, Our pet PR team suggest looking into the various ways in which you can work with your horse on the ground. Whether it’s natural horsemanship, starting clicker training with him or simply building on your horses’ confidence and trust in you with simple exercises in hand or on the lunge.

Whatever you plan to do with your horse or in celebration of horses this National Horse Day, keep our pet PR team in mind and make it fun!
