Fancy a day at the beach with the whole family including the dog? The MirrorMePR UK Canine PR Team have been looking for the best beaches around the UK to have some fun with Fido and here are their top 5 beaches!

Bamaluz Beach in St Ives Cornwall is a small beach but is literally sat in front of this gorgeous town, so if you are planning a day to mix town with some beach, this is a great place to go. Being the only dog-friendly beach all year around in St Ives means it can get very busy, so we recommend an early visit followed by some breakfast!

We love Crantock Beach in Newquay, Cornwall for its huge sandy beach and good surf vibes! There’s toilets, cafes and two car parks so you can make a day of it and they also have life guards during the summer season. The rock pools are great for kids to investigate and there’s enough space to not feel overcrowded, even in the height of the season.

Berrow Beach in Somerset has seven miles of beautiful sandy beach, complete with sand dunes. A peaceful place that you and your pooches can run and have fun, it offers stunning views and enough space that you wouldn’t feel crowded. There is a warning to be careful to ensure that your dog doesn’t go too far out onto the mud flats, but if you have a dog with a good recall, then you can both relax and enjoy this wonderful beach.

Saunton Beach  in Devon is one of the team’s favourite hidden gems -they allow dogs on the beach all year around, and there are literally miles of golden sand! A popular spot with surfers, this gorgeous beach also has a bar, restaurant, shop and a parade of cute beach huts for a wonderful day out! You and your human and fur family can also stay 5 minutes walk from this beach in some super doggie accommodation (some of the team have also stayed there with their dogs) at Saunton Beach Villas.

Cooden Beach in East Sussex is a shingle beach popular with kite surfers, jet skiers and wind surfers and it’s really easy to access with a free carpark on the beach front and a train station almost on the beach front which takes you into Victoria or Charing Cross, London, making it a great beach choice for those city dogs and owners. The Cooden Beach Hotel  is a minute walk from the station and as well as being a dog-friendly hotel; it also has a beachside terrace whereby you can stop and grab a bite to eat with your dogs in the sunshine.

It’s important to note that some beaches have restrictions on dogs during the summer months These can usually run from Easter Day or March / May until 1st October. Also, some restricted beaches allow dogs in the early morning and or late evening (usually after 7 pm but it’s worth checking before you plan your day!
