As our country PR brands prove, dressing with countryside style doesn’t have to be all about uniform tweed and wellies. In this blog, we share our top tips for fashion that won’t scare the sheep!

DAD

When it comes to dad nothing says country style more than a tweed jacket – but choose wisely!  It’s not just about any old tweed style jacket, it has to be beautifully tailored and single breasted. We love this Timothy Foxx Rupert Jacket. Team with needlepoint cords or dark denim jeans, Hunter Wellington boots (or tan brogues for smart) and a tailored shirt for basic staple pieces. You can rearrange whether you’re planning a day out at a country show,  polo or country pub.

MUM

We know mums are busy keeping the kids out of mischief, so your outfit needs to be practical but fabulous. We say a great pair of dark denim jeans and team with crisp white shirt, silk scarf and throw over a Timothy Foxx Catherine Tweed Jacket. This jacket is a slightly longer length and cut (to flatter) and offers a quick way to dress up any outfit! Looking for boots that compliment your legs and outfit? The Spanish Boot Company’s Classic Boot crosses over from dog walking to town and with gorgeous suede versions also available; we say mum deserves more than one pair in her wardrobe! Jewellery has to be elegant, practical and simple. We adore the Sylvia Kerr Jewellery Derby Heart Earrings and Chelsea Horse Shoe Bracelet for the finishing touches.

TEENS

Even you’ll want to wear this on-trend sweater from Whale Of A Time Clothing. Its clean graphic stripes are a big catwalk story for this season, but your teenager will love this Beluga Sweater because it’s baggy, is worn by surfers and skaters and is a fresh new British label!

KIDS

We love this cute Equetech Junior Gilet: lightweight and practical, it’s also reversible, so if you get one side gets mucky you can always turn inside out for a presentable look! Combine with a pretty vintage floral shirt, long sleeved tee, tights and wellingtons. For boys, we say smart polo shirt, cords or jeans and boots will combine practical with stylish.

THE POOCH

To fit with the country PR
set, you have to have a dog (or at least borrow one for the day!). We love this Tweed Bow Tie from Pink Whiskers, after all you never know which lady or lord of the manor you might meet out on those country walks!
