Country Interior Design in the City - MirrorMePR
You are here:

We love adding country interior design touches to our city home, and during my travels we have picked up some great contemporary and vintage pieces. You don’t have to live in a country manor house or turn of the century cottage to enjoy grandeur in your dining room or vintage bunting around your kitchen! It can be surprisingly easy to bring country styling into your home, wherever it may be.

Here are a few of the MirrorMePR Country PR’s favourite countryside touches…

The thrifty simplicity of flowers in a jam jar as a centre-piece to a dinner table or as decoration in a hallway always makes me smile, and will bring the countryside into your home – wherever you live!

We also love these vintage inspired trays, which a perfect solution for serving up Pimm’s in the sunshine with their gorgeous lime wash finish and carved detail.

Mismatching old china is something I adore and you can easily pick up beautiful pieces from charity shops and boot fairs, or online . If you want to take afternoon tea on the lawn of your house or balcony of your flat, this is the way to do it!

We absolutely love this high winged traditional tweed chair – just gorgeous and perfect for any home, lounge, hall or bedroom. Throw in a mish-mash of cushions, like these gorgeous patchwork ones by our client Timothy Foxx, and you’ll have a gorgeous mix of country and contemporary.

This deer head door bell is something we adore, because… well, just because! It may not be ideal for a rented flat in the city, but perfect if you have your own house and a passion for the countryside! All you’ll need is the butler to answer the door!

And when it comes to evening social occasions, where better to stash the wine than in this gorgeous wrought iron horse shoe wine rack? A lovely rustic touch to add to any home!
