Buddy & Bone Case Study - MirrorMePR

Challenge:

Buddy & Bone is a new luxury vegan leather dog brand based in London with a passion for fashion. They appointed our Pet Brand Marketing Services to raise their profile and target key media in the autumn of 2020, leading up to the Christmas push.

Their decision to seek PR support was due to a much larger, commercial competitor brand looking to launch a new line of vegan dog collars and leads.

The client wanted to ensure that they were established with the press, knowing that they were the first and original London doggie brand.

The Solution:

Working closely with the client, we reviewed their website and social channels alongside a list of recommendations to implement as stage 1 of our marketing campaign. This included reviewing SEO issues and general brand narrative.

MirrorMePR undertook competitor research to give the client a greater understanding of their competitors and highlight advantages.

MirrorMePR encouraged the client to stay focused on their brand story and pull through their key USP’s which would naturally weaken their competitor’s interest in their plans to expand into this area.

The emphasis was on establishing the brand as an individual, independent, British, vegan, London based brand founded by lifelong dog owners.

The Result:

The resulting print and digital coverage embraced luxury and national press coverage, including Vogue, The Independent, Kensington Life, & numerous luxury regional media. The brand aligned with critical influencers outside of the ‘doggie world’, including Reality TV star Nermina Pieters-Mekic and proposed collaborations with other TV celebrities.
