  • 4 Great Winter Events You Won’t Want To Miss Out On

A photo of Christmas markets, a winter event suggested by the MirrorMePR lifestyle PR team

As Christmas draws ever nearer, the MirrorMePR lifestyle PR team take a look at a few of our favourite outings this winter. Whether you love food, watching a Shetland Pony Grand National (yes there is such a thing!) or just having fun, wrap up warm and head out to discover these fantastic events this winter.

1. Food Glorious Food

We love this little pop-up winter market. If you have a soft spot for cheese/wine/cider/gin and street food, then the Southbank Centre’s Winter Market is for you. Always bustling with crowds, we love the atmosphere of this Christmas market and the choice of munch on the move!

On now till December 27th.

2. Ho Ho Ho & Horses

Olympia International Horse Show is a firm favourite with the MirrorMePR equine PR team. An annual pilgrimage for the girls – where else can you find amazing equestrian action and a Shetland Pony Grand National? Festive fun for horsey and non-horsey visitors – this event has it all, and it’s also under cover! Perfect!

17th – 23rd December 2018

3. Ice, Ice Baby

Fancy showing off your Torvill & Dean moves (Google if you are too young to remember this epic ice-skating duo)

Yes, we’re talking ice-skating at the Natural History Museum Ice Rink with the beautiful backdrop of the Alfred Waterhouse’s buildings, fairy lights and a huge Christmas tree in the middle of the ice. Could anything be more Christmassy?!

Until January 6th 2019

4. Free Family Fun In London

You’ve (nearly) eaten all of the mince pies and THAT family box of Quality Street (don’t worry we won’t tell anyone), and the kids are driving you crazy as the excitement of Christmas comes crashing down. Then there’s New Year’s Day to think about! How do you entertain all the family for free in London and on a holiday?

Easy!

Go and watch the London New Year’s Day Parade. This event takes place on New Year’s Day and is the biggest carnival atmosphere you’ll experience working its way through central London. Cheerleaders, bands, majorettes and some serious horsepower as our clients. All The Queen’s Horses take 60 horses en route to entertain the crowds. Fun for everyone and perfect for on a budget January!

January 1st 2019
