Spring into 2015 Fashion - MirrorMePR

Whilst we are all still getting to grips with the prospect of winter, those lovely designers and fashion editors tease us with the prospect of summer as they showcase what’s big for next season. With trend inspirations ranging from Barbie through to Techno, thankfully there are still some great trends that cross over from catwalk to country – and here were a few of my favourites…

Iconic British heritage brand Hunter took to the catwalk to showcase that they aren’t all about wellies; amongst their rubber, waterproof offerings for next season, thick soled plimsolls, deck shoes and ankle boots gave waterproof footwear the perfect make-over. I love these, and for someone who is generally standing around outside in muddy fields for work, they are going to be top of my shopping list for next season!

One of the Duchess of Cambridge’s favourite designers, Issa London, literally took horses as her inspiration for spring, contrasting figure hugging tailoring and sheer fabrics with bold, monochrome equestrian prints, which culminated in a beautifully feminine feel. I really liked her playful take on prints combined with super sharp tailoring.

Ralph Lauren displayed a distinctly exotic theme, combing khaki greens with bold bursts of bright colours and silk. Old-fashioned style jodhpurs with lace up bottoms also added an equestrian flavour to this gorgeous collection. Soooo want all of it!

Amongst their varied and eye-catching collection, Miu Miu particularly celebrated tweed, using it for everything from coats and skirts to crop tops and even belts! Often thought of as autumnal, it’s great to see tweed being showcased in style on the Spring/Summer catwalk, highlighting (as our talented designers Timothy Foxx prove season after season) that tweed is indeed anything but boring or reserved for just winter!

And at New York Fashion Week, one of my favourite collections for next season: Rodarte Ready To Wear, which combined sparkle, feminine sheers and a touch of dandy/equestrian flair through ruffled shirts and the sexiest breech-style trousers that I have ever seen!

Now we only have to wait another six months to get our very cold hands on these hot new trends!
